The SEAD Policy Exchange Forum is an informal, voluntary government-to-government discussion forum where policymakers and their delegated representatives share and learn from one another about cutting-edge and cost-effective approaches to specific appliance energy efficiency challenges.

The most recent SPEx webinar focused on Communications Strategies for Energy Efficient Labels.

The SEAD Policy Exchange Forum (SPEx) enables information exchange on policies, activities, and opportunities for accelerating global progress on energy-efficient equipment and appliances. SPEx allows participants to take advantage of best practices and the lessons learned by other countries, strengthen or establish new relationships among policymakers and practitioners working in the field, and identify opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The Forum is open to both SEAD and non-SEAD government representatives – including from IEA 4E, APEC, SEAD technical assistance-eligible countries, and others – to allow for confidential and open discussion.

SPEx discussions take place via occasional web-based calls hosted by the SEAD initiative. Participants choose the call topics collaboratively, based on interest and relevance to current policies under development. Both cross-cutting and product-specific issues are eligible for discussion.
